Select one of the three prompts below and right about it for 8 - 10 minutes. You may share your writing as a Comment at the end of the post.

Option 2 What's the main thing that boosts your self confidence and why?

Option 3 What personality traits do you feel you convey to people when you meet them?

Here's my contribution --

The single thing I would change about my life is my health. Don't let appearances deceive! I am dealing with a condition that seriously impacts my life. It's called painful legs and moving toes syndrome. The cause is unknown; it is very rare; and there is no treatment which is effective for everyone. The consulting neurologist who diagnosed the problem said that I was the third case he had seen in 25 years. The symptoms include wriggling of the toes on my left foot, accompanied by "severe and unrelenting pain." The treatment which works best for me includes two drugs, an anticonvulsant and an antispasmodic. They are muscle relaxants which control the toe wriggling very well, though sometimes causing breathing problems. For pain I wear a Lidoderm patch on my left foot. (It was originally developed for shingles pain.) I take a daily pain med and have something for breakthrough pain as well.

The condition has knocked me out of my 30 - 40 minute morning walk, among other things. It also interferes with my care of Becky. This has been going on for about 8 years. I would like to get back to a normal life.
